Who We Are
Fundamenta Prep instructors are all graduates of Ivy League schools or institutions of equal caliber. Our results-oriented writing instructors guarantee score increases for students of all academic levels and backgrounds. Instructors are assigned based on grade level, school, and teaching style, and each instructor tailors instruction to a student’s individual academic needs. Our instructors have the expertise to not only improve student reading and writing scores, but also serve as role models and mentors to lead students to their personal potential. At Fundamenta Prep, we believe a great mind never goes out of style, and we hope to inspire this ethos in every one of our students through our rigorous reading and writing program.
Current Open Position — San Francisco
We welcome those individuals who are ambitious, motivated, and have a passion for tutoring students who are a part of Fundamenta Prep. We have a highly reputable program, including a Fundamenta Instructors’ Manual, for preparing students for the reading and writing sections of the SAT, ACT, ISEE/SSAT, other standardized tests, and academic essays. Hours are flexible depending on the student’s availability. Our instructors are intelligent, personable, and have the desire and passion for helping students improve their reading and writing. There is strong support from our Regional Academic Director and Fundamenta Prep staff.
To tutor the highest level clients Ivy Bound requires scores to be submitted showing a 1500 on two SAT sections or a 34 ACT composite. Tutors without such scores may still be hired based on demonstrating clarity, enthusiasm, empathy, and high test knowledge. All tutor candidates are asked to demonstrate this in a simulated session. A top 2% score on LSAT, MCAT, or GMAT also suffices. To apply, please provide your SAT and/or ACT scores along with any outstanding AP, Subject Test, or Grad School scores and a brief summary of your qualifications.
